I have been an active blood donor since 2007, typically donating twice a year.
Since elementary school I have participated in Toy Lift Charlottesville which has been collecting and distributing toys for local area children each December. Since 2005 the CVRC has been contributing donations to the Toy Lift charities; last year alone the CVRC collected 44 toys, 3 bicycles and $330.00

I urged people in the community to contact their representative about preserving the Affordable Care Act for people who are low-income and rely on Medicaid for preventative and life-saving care. These include doctors’ services, inpatient and outpatient hospital care, prescription drug coverage, pregnancy and childbirth, mental health services, and more.

I participated in trail clean up efforts after storms like Derecho and Hurricane Sandy. Currently I make an effort to pick up trash when I get a chance to walk the trail in order to help with trail beautification and the environment.
