East Coast Migrant Head Start Project
Dates volunteered Mar 2010
I volunteered at two East Coast Migrant Head Start facilities during James Madison’s Alternative Spring Break program. I spent most of my time with the front office staff and helped them gain a more in-depth understanding of how to use Microsoft Office Suite and various programs available to them so that they could achieve desired goals.  One day was spent working alongside migrant farmers in the fields. During our stay, we also constructed a playground from scratch for the children and helped them to put together and perform a play for their parents.
